The assault caused the temporary shutdown of the Central Terminal Area tunnel and the T3 parking area.

An additional two individuals are now in custody related to a robbery at Heathrow Airport in which 21 people were injured by a substance believed to be pepper spray, as stated by law enforcement.

A 24-year-old man, was arrested in Lambeth on suspicion of theft and assault and a 23-year-old woman was detained for suspected conspiring to commit a robbery. Both individuals remain in custody, authorities confirmed.

The arrests follow an investigation into an assault at the multi-storey car park at Terminal 3 on Sunday. Before the attack, two women were robbed of their suitcases upon exiting a parking garage elevator.

A toddler aged three was among the those hurt during the incident. Five people went to hospital for treatment and have since been discharged.

Police arrested a 31-year-old man for suspected robbery and assault near the location. He was subsequently released under investigation as the investigation proceeds.

Authorities were alerted at approximately 8:10 in the morning GMT after reports came in regarding several people hurt by an irritating chemical thought to be pepper spray.

The assault - an event that authorities stated was isolated and not being treated as an act of terror - caused train delays and the partial closure of the main airport tunnel and the T3 car park briefly.
