Kai Trump can count on plenty of prominent supporters as she makes her first LPGA appearance later this week.
The 18-year-old athlete, who happens to be connected to Donald Trump, received a special exemption to participate at the Annika tournament in Florida.
Her grandfather, a passionate golfer, possesses several golf courses and regularly matches against Kai.
"He's quite skilled. I shouldn't elaborate but we play some close matches," she revealed.
The golfer shared that Trump, who cannot attend, told her: "Just avoid anxiety."
"My grandpa basically told me to go out there and have fun," she explained.
"To me, he's simply a normal grandpa. He can't make it for the tournament. He's occupied with world affairs, making him rather occupied."
As an amateur, Kai has participated in just three tournaments recently and holds ranking 461 in the American Junior Golf Association standings.
However she can receive tips from golf legend, in a relationship with Vanessa.
"He represents the best player worldwide," the young golfer said.
"Additionally, he's an even better individual. He advised me to go out there, relax, adapting to the flow."
The golfer will compete against several most prominent players in the sport at the Annika, including world number two Nelly Korda, England's golfer Hull, professional Thompson and last year's winner champion Vu.
The LPGA stated that involving Kai exposes the sport to different demographics, particularly among younger fans.
The young star has millions of followers and just introduced a personal fashion and living company.
The competition starts at 5:30 PM GMT.
