Plane Carrying US Defense Secretary Required to Touch Down in UK Due to Fracture in Windshield

A plane transporting Pete Hegseth was forced to make an unscheduled landing in the UK on Wednesday following a fracture was found in the aircraft's cockpit window, per an announcement which stated that all passengers were secure.

"The aircraft landed in accordance with established safety measures and all individuals on the flight, such as Secretary Hegseth, is secure," a press officer commented in a social media post.

The secretary was coming back from a short visit to the city of Brussels when the incident occurred.

This occurrence does not mark the first occasion that a United States armed forces jet ferrying a senior official has experienced technical problems.

Months ago, a US Air Force plane ferrying Marco Rubio to Munich was compelled to return to Washington after suffering a mechanical fault.
