From the very beginning of Campaign 4, fresh DM Brennan Lee Mulligan has kept viewers on edge with deep backstory, a wide array of characters, and a thrilling plot showcasing angels, fiends, and malevolent powers increasing in power within the city.

The Warrior Group Unveiled
Episode 3 concluded with a huge suspense moment and presented the premier party of adventurers who will separate from the central cast to embark on their separate journey, apart from the additional parties.
The combat-focused team consists of Teor (played by Travis Willingham), the agile character (the talented performer), the strong-willed figure (Whitney), Wicander (the player), and Kattigan Vale (Robbie).
Dividing the Cast
Considering a large ensemble, it was obvious from the start that having everyone at the same party would be unfeasible.
Hence, the initial installments of the new season serve as an Overture, connecting the individual narratives before dividing into three smaller tables: Soldiers, Schemers, and Seekers.
What Defines the Warrior Group
Per Brennan Lee Mulligan, the combat-focused party is for players who prefer a typically action-packed fight-heavy narrative style where diplomatic options are scarce.
Upon first impression, characters like the squeamish cleric Wicander Halovar might appear out of place, but the events of the latest installment demonstrate why these specific adventurers are perfectly fit for the Soldiers table.
Why They Must Go
First, the group knows exactly where to go next after a violent initial meeting with the antagonists.
Casimir of Thjazi Fang—whose passing initiated the narrative’s action—used the foes for his own means, invading the hidden lair, assaulting Thimble, and taking all the enchanted items to auction.
Casimir then settled his liabilities and fled to a secure base in the northern region, north of Dol-Makjar, with Teor’s brother close behind.
Personal Motivations
Moreover, each member has a specific drive to leave the city the urban setting:
- The agile hero, as Thjazi’s partner and closest confidant, seeks retribution.
- Kattigan has experience in Timmony and warns that it is a dangerous place.
- The warrior and The cleric, having resisted his family’s wishes to execute the fighter and instead saved him, have no safe haven.
- But, their status as important members in the influential clan could enable the team access areas they typically wouldn’t be able to.
- Furthermore, The grateful character vowed a unbreakable promise to The cleric for his rescue and will now go with him wherever.
Pursued by Authorities
In addition, all of them are hunted by the authorities that rule the setting for a multiple motives, making lingering locally no longer safe:
- The agile adventurer and The hero are recognized lawbreakers.
- Tyranny and The healer defied House Halovar and the army of fiends they are partnered with.
- The fighter is marked for death by the clan.
This leaves them no alternative but to journey toward the northern region in pursuit of the antagonist.
What’s Next?
Based on episode three’s follow-up content, we learn that the combat party won’t be around the following episode, leaving the other eight players to form the Questers and Strategists groups.
